Egypt has a desert climate in general, but due to the prevailing wind, the Mediterranean coastal areas have a more temperate climate. There is a hot season from May to October and a cool season from October to May in the atmosphere. During the hot season, most parts of the country are dry and hot, while the Nile Delta and Mediterranean coastal areas are humid. As a result, the most significant protection is sunblock.

Unless you come from one of the visa-exempt countries or territories, such as Bahrain, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Lebanon, Macao, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, or the United Arab Emirates, all visitors to Egypt are expected to have both a passport and a visa (as of May 2018). Under some circumstances, citizens of certain North African and Middle Eastern countries may visit Egypt without a visa.
